Additionally, WPS will share valuable tips on managing unconscious bias during hiring, helping you build a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

Enrico Peraga from Borealis Immigration, a local immigration lawyer, will walk you through the current landscape of hiring foreign workers. They'll explain the latest immigration policies, highlight the most efficient pathways for hiring international talent, and give you the tools to navigate the legal requirements of bringing skilled workers into your business. WorkBC Presentation: Employer Services & Inclusive Hiring:

WorkBC will also discuss how embracing diversity can lead to a stronger, more dynamic team and better business outcomes.

To close out the session, we'll open the floor for a live Q&A panel with all of our speakers. This is your opportunity to ask the experts any burning questions you may have about hiring challenges, resources, or strategies specific to your business.     Over 30 years of business management experience including human resources in the hospitality, media and communications industries. Worked in every position there is in hospitality from dishwasher, housekeeper, night audit and banquet service to eventually General Manager of two Whistler hotels – the Summit Lodge and Whistler Vacation Club. Jacki volunteered as the President of the Canadian Cancer Society‘s Whistler and Pemberton Community Team for 18 years and serves on the Board of Directors for the Whistler Housing Authority.

    he also spent one academic year at the University of Maastricht
    in the Netherlands, studying International Trade Law.

    Since having moved to Canada, Enrico has accumulated numerous years of experience in helping people all around the globe coming to Canada
    to work, study, visit, rejoin family members and launch their businesses.
    As an immigrant himself, he is personally aware of all the challenges, doubts and excitement that moving to a new country involves.

    Enrico obtained his legal knowledge of the Canadian system at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and he has been admitted to the bar in BC,
    as one of the few immigration lawyers with legal education in multiple countries.

    Outside of work, Enrico loves exploring the remote wilderness of BC.
    He is always looking for new lines to ski and peaks to summit!
